Description
Our natural St. John's wort hydrolate for detergents comes from the species Hypericum Perforatum. In international trade, the distillate bears the name St. John's wort Natural Hydrolat for Detergents. The terminal open inflorescences of the cyme type bear the floral part, which enters steam distillation and determines the aromatic and color appearance of the liquid. Clusiaceae is the family to which the species belongs, and its members store volatile substances in tissue cavities and canals. Natural cultivation takes place on Bulgarian land. The liquid carries only an aqueous phase and volatile substances from the flowers, without the involvement of preservatives or colorants. In strength, the scent lies in the mild range. The herbal and the warm line stay in front, while the light sweet tone remains behind them in the overall aromatic profile of the scent. The secretory cells, cavities and canals retain the volatile fraction of the plant, which is why the floral part gives the distillate a perceptible aromatic base in its finished form. The distillate is colorless and reaches at most a pale yellow shade. The clear liquid sums up the external characteristics of the product. Since the starting material comes exclusively from the flowers, the pale yellow tone of the finished liquid repeats the light coloring of the inflorescences themselves in this species. The natural growing regime protects the starting material from external substances, so the aromatic picture of the distillate remains clean and restrained in strength. The mild aromatic strength comes from the small volatile fraction held in the aqueous part of the finished product. The final appearance of the product combines clarity, a light tone and a mild herbal scent with a warm shade.
Application
The hydrolate is widely used in the production of household cleaning products. It is incorporated into all-purpose liquids and concentrates for dilution intended for the daily maintenance of various surfaces, as well as into solutions for hard surfaces, floors, tiles, laminate and ceramics, where it adds a light herbal nuance and a refreshing effect. The ingredient is suitable for kitchen sprays with a degreasing action, for products for the maintenance of kitchen countertops, appliances and equipment, and also for formulas for bathrooms, sinks and sanitary areas, where cleanliness and pleasant freshness are sought. In liquids for glass and mirrors, it helps achieve transparency and streak-free shine, while in solutions for furniture, wooden and plastic surfaces it provides a gentle action and delicate protection. It is also included in textile products, such as sprays for freshening upholstered furniture, carpets, pillows and other textile surfaces, to which it gives a fine aromatic profile. In addition, it is used in liquids for freshening the air in enclosed spaces, in gels for stubborn dirt and in products for cleaning walls, doors, handles and frames. Thanks to its good compatibility with the other ingredients, the hydrolate integrates easily into a variety of detergents for household hygiene and supports the creation of finished products with a natural character.
